SUNDAY EVENING ZEN PRACTICE AT ROCKVILLE UNITED CHURCH, 355 Linthicum Street, Rockville MD
7:00 - 8:30 PM
Doors open at 6:45 to find your seat, or request newcomer welcome, or to request Zen meditation practice instruction.
We have chairs and cushions for meditation. Please wear comfortable clothes.
Zendo entrance is at the back of the church; park in back lot or walk through the garden to the back. Look for a green sign. First bell is 7:00 pm and you should be seated at that time.
If you arrive after 7:00 pm, wait in the hall until the second bell rings, then enter the Zendo. Someone will greet you.
SCHEDULE
Three 25-minutes of Zazen, with 5 minutes Kinhin walking meditation in between. Dharma talk and Teacher interviews, opening and closing chants offered .
On July 6, August 31, October 26, and December 7, we offer Zazenkai also called a Day of Zen 2 pm-8:30 pm)
NOTE: Sunday June 29 our Zazen practice is replaced by our potluck dinner, 5-8 pm and you are welcome to attend.

MONDAY ZEN MEDITATION PRACTICE FOR ALL PEOPLE AT ROCKVILLE UNITED CHURCH
4:30 -5:30 PM
Suitable for beginners or those who want a simple silent meditation practice period after work. We sit in chairs. Arrive by 4:25 to find your seat. First bell is 4:30.
SCHEDULE
Brief teacher talk on Zen practice, 10 minutes of silent sitting in chairs, followed by walking meditation, second bell for 20 minutes of zazen, a poem, tea and conversation.
Enter through the front door of the church; someone will greet you. All are welcome, no experience necessary. We meet on most holiday Mondays.
Meditation instruction offered for newcomers.

TUESDAYS ZEN PRACTICE AT ROCKVILLE UNITED CHURCH
4:45-6:00 PM
Doors open at 4:30 at the back parking lot of the church. Arrive early for newcomer information or to request Zen meditation practice instruction.
Zendo entrance is at the back of the church; park in the back lot or walk through the garden to the back door. Look for a welcome sign and someone will greet you. You may stay for all or part of the meditation.
We have chairs and cushions for meditation. Please wear comfortable clothes.
Please be on your seat by the first bell at 4:45. If you arrive late, please wait in the hall until the second bell rings, then enter the Zendo. Someone will greet you.
SCHEDULE
Three Zazen periods: two 25-minutes Zazen, followed by 5 minutes Kinhin or walking meditation; last sitting period 15 minutes includes chanting practice. Ends at 6 pm.
Dharma talk and practice interviews offered.
