Kyoshin practiced online with the Order of Interbeing in Thich Nhat Hanh’s tradition for many years before finding Joyful Mind Zen Community.

She served as Head Monk and Zendo Administrator from 2023-2024. Kyoshin received Jukai in October 2025. In 2025 Kyoshin became a Dharma Holder, offering practice-instruction on Sunday evenings.

She experiences the joys of practice with her son and husband and in her work with the Strathmore Hall Foundation, Inc., a performing arts center in Bethesda, Maryland.
